Machining Consultancy
Scan. Engineer. Manufacture.
When original drawings are lost or parts are no longer available, ELS reverse-engineers and reproduces critical components using 3D scanning, CAD modelling, and precision CNC machining — all backed by rigorous quality control.
Reverse Engineering & 3D Scanning
When drawings no longer exist
Older cranes and heavy equipment often outlive their documentation. When a critical component fails and no technical drawings are available, ELS steps in with advanced 3D scanning technology to capture exact geometries — down to tolerances of 0.01 mm.
From physical part to digital model
Our engineers use structured-light and laser scanning to create precise point clouds, which are then converted into fully parametric CAD models. These digital twins serve as the foundation for manufacturing, quality inspection, and future reference.
This capability is particularly valuable for obsolete parts where the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) no longer provides support. Rather than replacing an entire assembly, we reproduce the exact component you need — often at a fraction of the OEM price.
Our reverse engineering services cover gears, shafts, bushes, housings, brake components, and other precision-machined parts used in port cranes, hoisting equipment, and heavy industrial machinery.

From Scan to Production
Once we have a validated 3D model, manufacturing begins. ELS works with a vetted network of precision machining facilities — including our own partners in China — to produce components using CNC milling, turning, grinding, and wire EDM.
Every part undergoes strict quality checks including dimensional verification, material certification, and surface finish inspection. We deliver parts that meet or exceed the original specifications, with full traceability documentation.
